SMP Negeri 9 Parepare Luncurkan Gerakan aksi Literasi

Hari ini, Kamis 31 Januari 2023, UPTD SMP Negeri 9 Parepare, Sulawesi Selatan, mulai Gerakan Aksi Literasi atau Galaksi 9.
Galaksi 9 ini salah satu Program Perpustakaan untuk terus menggelorakan semangat literasi dengan mendorong siswa kreatif membaca dan menulis.
Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan setiap minggu pada hari Kamis pukul 07.15 – 08.00. Saat ini, budaya membaca dan menulis memang harus ditanamkan sedini mungkin.
Sejalan dengan hal di atas, melalui perpustakaan SMP Negeri 9 Parepare, menerapkan budaya baca selama 45 menit.
Pada aktivitas literasi mingguan, diharapkan setiap siswa memiliki maksimal satu buku bacaan kemudian mampu menuliskan resume terhadap buku yang
telah dibaca.
Sedangkan aktivitas bulanan, diharapkan Semua siswa membuat sebuah review buku dengan memilih salah satu bentuk review AlH, Ychart, atau Fishbone.
Hasil Review tersebut dikumpul ke tim Literasi Sekolah. Selanjutnya akan diupload pada media sosial sekolah dan
pemenangnya akan diberikan reward sebagai bentuk apresiasi

Literasi itu kemampuan seseorang dalam berbahasa dan berkomunikasi. Dimana orang tersebut tidak hanya memiliki
kemampuan membaca saja.
Tetapi juga memiliki kemampuan menyimak, berbicara serta menulis.
Dari apa yang disampaikan oleh
Elizabeth di atas menunjukan,
literasi sebagai faktor utama agar
seseorang bisa berkembang dan melek ilmu pengetahuan lewat membaca.
Setidaknya pula, lewat membaca
mengantarkan individu tersebut memiliki keterampilan lain selain
pengetahuan.
Misalnya memiliki keterampilan lain di bidang yang telah
mereka baca atau semacamnya.
Membaca dan menulis, setelah berbicara (literasi) merupakan aktivitas penting dalam kehidupan.
Sebagian besar proses pendidikan bergantung pada kemampuan dan kesadaran literasi.
Budaya literasi yang tertanam dalam diri peserta didik memengaruhi tingkat keberhasilan, baik di sekolah maupun bermasyarakat. (*)
